Animal update, everyone! Just because I can!
We'll start off with animals in/sort of in the city.
In the lake, we have these charming creatures:

To us, they're goblin sharks. And not all that dangerous, just hideous as hell. The lake is a valuable source of fish and well, water for the city, fed by an underground river. Unfortunately, it has some truly dangerous creatures in it (watcher in the water-esque, one of which may be pulled out for Eressil to study one day), which makes going for a swim in the lake itself a really bad idea.
In one of the parks, we have flocks of these that appeared all in one go and have been breeding and thriving ever since:

They were featured in one of the chats, where Luthien notes they're very noisy.
Next we have this:

There's one of these in Eressil's zoo I didn't get a chance to feature, but god help me one day I will. It's a moa bird, one of the biggest of the breed, standing tall at nearly twelve feet tall. It was a New Zealand bird that got hunted to extinction. It has no wings. Not even vestigal. It basically consists of two legs and one long neck.
More on dangers outside the city, 'terror birds' have been mentioned. They're not in the farming areas unless they get bold:

They're big. Since wargs didn't happen until the future, and werewolves are too dangerous, I thought I'd come up with a natural predator that hunted in packs for you guys. As Turgon said, a very terrified elf can outrun one.
